Data Protection
This page describes what personal information AHM Lifestyle Blog handles, why, and which rights you have over it. The short answer is that very little is collected, because the site was built to need almost nothing from its readers.
Who is responsible
AHM Lifestyle Blog is run by a small editorial team. For anything to do with your data, write to us at hello@allhotelmaps.com. We will answer as quickly as we reasonably can.
A static website
Every page on this site is generated in advance and delivered as a plain file. There are no user accounts, no log-ins, no comment forms and no shop. We do not run analytics software, advertising networks, social media plug-ins, tracking pixels or fingerprinting scripts. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell or rent data to anyone.
Your cookie banner choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept or decline. Your answer is saved in your browser's local storage so that the banner does not return on every page. This small entry stays on your device, is never sent to us and cannot identify you. You can remove it at any time by clearing the stored site data in your browser settings, after which the banner will simply appear again. The full picture of that one stored entry lives on Cookies on This Site.
Hosting logs
To deliver pages, the site relies on a hosting provider whose servers automatically record basic technical details of each request. These typically include the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser and operating system, and the referring address if there is one. The logs exist to keep the service stable and secure and to investigate abuse. We do not use them to track individual readers or combine them with other information. They are kept for a limited time determined by the host and then deleted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure website.
When you email us
An email to the team naturally reaches us with your address, any name you sign with and the contents of your message. We use this only to read and answer your message. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. We never add you to a mailing list and do not pass your message to third parties unless the law requires it. We rely on your own request, and our legitimate interest in answering it, as the legal basis.
Links to other sites
Plenty of articles point to outside websites. Once you follow such a link, the other site's own privacy policy applies, and we have no control over what it collects.
Your rights under the GDPR
If data protection law such as the General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, you have the right to:
- find out whether any of your personal data sits with us, and obtain a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted, where there is no reason for us to keep it;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- take the information you supplied with you in a machine-readable file;
- complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
To use any of these rights, simply email us. We will not charge for a reasonable request and may ask for a little information to confirm who you are.
Children
The blog is written for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children.
